DA SPOT NYC (DA SPOT), in partnership with City Point BKLYN, is thrilled to announce the highly anticipated Third Annual Black Creatives and Culture Fest. This three-day event, taking place from Friday June 16th -Sunday June 18th from 11AM - 8PM, promises to be an immersive cultural experience, showcasing the incredible talents of over 50 Black and POC creatives, while fostering community and economic resilience.

“The Black Creatives and Culture Fest has amplified and celebrated the amazing talents of 300+ local Black and POC creatives in the past three years,” says Michelle Cadore, Curator and Owner of DA SPOT NYC. “ We are excited to keep this platform growing and we will continue to show up, make space and bring economic opportunities to Black and POC creative entrepreneurs, while fostering community engagement as we celebrate Black culture.

DA MARKET PLACE | Fri - Sun June 16-18th 11AM - 8PM

Curated with care, the festival will feature a vibrant shopping marketplace with a diverse range of vendors specializing in fashion, art, beauty, food, and lifestyle goods. Among the esteemed participants are some well-known brands such as Adorned By V, Blush Velvet Boutique, Brooklyn Barn, DeAndra Craigman Studios, D's Delights, Dixonian Jewelry, Essence of Ase, Haus of Swag, Joy and Sorrel, Royal Priesthood, Pocket Kings BK, The Salty Heifer, Co., Hip Hop Closet, and Walker Wear by Hip Hop icon April Walker.

POETIC JUSTICE OPEN MIC NIGHT | Friday June 16th @7PM

In addition to the vibrant marketplace, the festival will also feature exciting activations throughout the weekend. On Friday, June 16th at 7pm, attendees can enjoy an open mic Poetic Justice poetry night, led by the talented Karyne Tinord of Kay de Trés. All are welcome to join and share their own poetic expressions.

Small Business Saturday: Black Men Who Lead | Saturday June 17th @6PM

Black to Businesss will host a thought-provoking business panel titled Black Men Who Lead. From 6pm to 8pm, industry leaders including Brandon Madden, Founder of InventYou® LLC, Jeremiah Brown, former NFL athlete, speaker, author, and leadership coach,and Arron Muller, LCSW, CEO and Founder of Modify Wellness, will engage in a captivating discussion on the triumphs and challenges faced by Black entrepreneurs.

GAME NIGHT WITH UTICA PLANTAINS| Saturday June 17th @8PM

Following the panel, in partnership with Utica Plantains, from 8pm onward guests will enjoy a lively Game Night and dance party. Food vendors, Likkle More Jerk and Fat Fowl will serve up delicious bites for the festivities.

SELF-CARE SUNDAY - BOSS LADY CONVERSATIONS | Sunday June 18th @3PM

On Sunday, June 18th, the festival will focus on self-care with the "Boss Up with Life Enhancing Self-Care Practices" workshop, led by Coach Khaya and Monica EL of Boss Lady Conversations. Participants can indulge in a guided self-care meditation session, promoting personal growth and well-being.

SELF-CARE SUNDAY - Wine Tasting with The Hue Society | Sunday June 18th @5PM

To conclude the event, a wine tasting experience with Tawana Shorter of Simona LA Flora and Black sommelier The Hue Society @Thehuesociety will commence at 4:30pm, offering a delightful opportunity to unwind and enjoy exceptional flavors.
